Sonesta Essential Des Moines

Right off the interstate/highway, so it makes the rest of the city very accessible. We came here to attend the state fair and it wasn't much of a drive. Downtown was maybe 15 minutes by drive. There's a Walmart about 10 minutes from here and a Target even closer. So I would say it's convenient especially if you're balancing budget with relative closeness. Breakfast is nice, and the staff was really on top of keeping it stocked even toward the very end of their breakfast hours.

The hotel had been remodeled from I stayed before. Having free breakfast was nice and it was better than some smaller hotels breakfasts. Room was clean and quiet. Parking was good. Good location.

This is a modern hotel and has been refreshed recently. A little on the high price range for budget motels. The facilities are very good and the rooms are clean and quiet.

the facility was clean and comfortable. the location was easy to get to off the highway. it was located near stores and restaurants. all in all it was a good stay. it was also quiet in the hotel and outside the hotel.
